Rustic?

The property is very old (far older than we had expected from looking at the photographs) which meant that there were very low door ways, steps into and out of most rooms, with curving, steep narrow stairs. Perhaps not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or very young toddlers. Fortunately this didn't really bother our party, but would have been good to know this before hand. The only major problem we had was a really old, very uncomfortable mattress - springs were almost protruding through the cover. We requested a topper as a temporary measure and eventually, a "mattress protector" totally unsuitable, was left on the door step at about 8.00 pm Saturday night!! We have been offered a reduction of £100 for the inconvenience but our son was unable to sleep on this bed and ended up on the settee! The property is well equipped, and apart from the aforementioned bed, generally comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed ourselves and felt at home.
