Absolutely Amazing All-Around Great Hotel
Our stay was fantastic! The location is perfect right across the street from everything! The staff was friendly and helpful. The balcony patios are an amazing perk of staying here, where you can relax and watch the action on the beach and boardwalk right from the hotel patios. The room was big and modern with a very large bathroom. My grandfather and I were very comfortable. My family will be using this hotel for every trip to Santa Cruz in the future.

Excellent hotel right on the beach in Santa Cruz. Views of the wharf from the rooms. Clean, convenien. Mid week stay was perfect. Second stay at casablanca and will be back.

Good but won’t stay again
Casablanca is an older hotel. So we already knew that when we made our reservations. The room was clean. However the fireplace that we paid extra for didn’t work and the balcony door does not lock. The wind blew it open a couple times so we couldn’t leave valuables in room. The cleaning crew left there cleaning equipment on our shared balcony every day, which was a large trash can with mops, cleaning supplemental around it so we couldn’t enjoy the sun on that balcony. Luckily the boardwalk wasn’t open so we didn’t have a huge crowd making noise. However there is a hotel being built next door so if your a late riser it’s best to plan for the weekend. Construction started EARLY! Good location for looking at the beach. However the water is contaminated across from hotel so don’t plan a quick plunge. It was a nice stay regardless. I do think the hotel should get different sheets… poly blend wasn’t comfy. Sheets/ bedding would be a nice upgrade for them to ad especially with fine hotels near by. This hotel was someplace the hubby and I wanted to try and we don’t have regrets but we probably won’t stay again. I like the option of locking my doors, not dealing with a huge trashcan at our front door, having a working fireplace that we paid extra for, I also like having the option for a dip in healing salt water NOT contaminated water…. Also walking to dinner do not be surprised to see human feces on the ground/ sidewalks it’s best to pay attention to the sunset and view of the ocean.
