"A girls weekend away and a perfect location"
Two days was not enough to see all the sites and to really get into the relaxing. The room was warm and waiting - no need to even turn on the heating. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfy. The kitchen came fully equipped. Perfect family room (The Cottages). Probably would have liked a better view and the main hotel would had have been fantastic - Next time. But for this break the Cottages were fine. Breakfast was sumptuous and much more than I expected. You won't go hungry and the service was lovely as well. An added feature was the feeding of the many kookaburras that congregate around the hotel early morning....I wonder why? Never seen kookaburras that up and close before. Great pictures.

"Lovely house very close to the town centre"
We had a spa room which was very nice and clean. In the communal lounge room we were very impressed with facilities including the complimentary port, snacks, tea/coffee etc. Restaurants, pubs, shopping only 2 minute walk and ample parking. Carrington house was spotless, well heated and very welcoming.

"Great place to stay just out of Kyneton."
Both my wife and I had a great time staying there. The staff were very accomodating particularly as I had to pick my wife up from the airport at night and we did not get back until late. They looked after us really well including allowing for a late breakfast. The room and ensuite were very neat and tidy and the room had been pre warmed as was the sitting room allowing us to thaw out after coming out of the car. Breakfast was great again with the staff being very accomodating and also taking the time to have a chat, give us some details about local attractions and generally expressing interest in what we were doing. It is a great spot to stay being central to everywhere and off the main highway so nice and quiet. It is ideal for those staying for the local festivals, concerts or races but also people like me chasing family history. Great hosts and a great place to stay.

Had great night at Avala. Me and my partner where both greeted by the friendly owner and taken to our room. The heater was already on prior to us arriving. The bed was sooo soft and we had a free came of mini golf in the morning which was really fun. We will be back.

"Comfort, class, excellence"
Nothing was a bother. An excellent experience from the first moment. Booking was for 3 nights but prolonged my stay an extra 3 nights. Cafe downstairs for breakfast with an abundance to choose from and a la carte restaurant open most days to treat the taste buds. The rooms are amazing with attention to detail for relaxation and comfort. 12 rooms with different themes. I've tried 2 and will be back to try the other 10 in the future. Holidays can't come soon enough.

"Small rooms but very good value"
The rooms are very small but perfectly formed. We appreciated the artistic touches and fresh, modern fittings. The bed was very comfortable. Nice staff and a good basic breakfast buffet for only ten dollars. Exceptional value in a lovely regional town. Check out Masons for dinner - it's fantastic.
