King Island

Situated smack bang in the middle of the Bass Strait, King Island makes for a convenient island getaway for both Tasmanians and Melburnians.

Fly to King Island to live like royalty. The island has two golf courses and excellent surfing beaches. The farmlands and coastline produce quality cheese, beef, crayfish and other seafood that can be dished up the same day. Just not at The Boathouse, because it’s ‘The Restaurant With No Food’; however, its Currie Harbour views make up for that. On a particularly windy day, browse Currie’s Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage and Arts & Cultural Centre exhibits.
