Disappointed with noisy and very dusty dark room
Disappointed in all as we’d upgraded to a deluxe 4 posted bed for a one night stay. The room was extremely noisy on the road and above the bar area. Poor nights sleep as we could hear noise from surrounding rooms and very creaky floor above. The room was very dusty and bathroom wasn’t very clean. We stayed in Room 02. The food was very good in the restaurant though and breakfast was ok. Being charged £10 to park is a bit much too. Shame as lovely looking pub.

Grubby room PARKING IS NOT FREE.
A huge bug bear of mine is hotels that advertise parking and then upon arrival, you discover either there are about 4 parking spaces or you have to pay separately for parking, That was the case here £10.20 parking fee... I also emailed in advance to enquire about parking and had no response. the hotel itself is very tired, cobwebs in my room grubby walls and carpet. The water system liked to make a strange coughing and draining sound every 15 minutes or so. There was also a wedding during my stay no ideal when I had a 6am start and you can hear both quests outside and in the corridors.

Excellent 2 night stay at the Talbot Inn, Staff are very friendly and professional. My room was very comfortable and clean. The Breakfast was lovey and our evening meal was excellent. Definitely stay again.
