House on the Hill is a hand made Octagonal pole home which we have built ourselves. Many unique features including antique doors and a hand carved teak Rama Yana story which you enter up through as you climb up the spiral staircase. Each room has access to their own private balcony. Places to meditate, fabulous views of Port Stephens, a cacophony of frogs to listen to as you drift off to sleep each night. Fabulous backyard jungle leading into a myriad of bush walks around the Cove. No shops!

Relaxing Getaway
The house provided the perfect environment for a family get together. There was enough space for all of us to spend time together while not getting in each other's way. There were areas that invited us to relax and unwind. Came away from the weekend feeling calm and relaxed. Loved the decor, woodwork and general feel on the property.

The home is very interesting and right by the cove. We got caught with mosquitoes and we could not escape them for our whole trip. They would come in through the screen curtains and fly screen doors that wouldn’t quite close properly. However, the open plan kitchen and dining was perfect for our stay.

Making memories in the Octagon
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Octagon for four nights this summer. We were after somewhere quiet and private in a beautiful location where we could just zone out, think, and make some life plans, and that’s exactly what we got! The property is one of a kind, a truly unique design that has a tiki feel and lots of comfortable areas to chill out indoors and out. Adrienne and Uli were super helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were meters away from a very remote beach where we took our pooch for a swim each day and got lots of great photos. By the end of our stay we were feeling very refreshed and were able to make some great plans for our future! Thanks a million. I’m sure we will be back.
