At approx 11pm at night I was laying in bed watching television enjoying privacy as anyone should when staying at your hotel. My door was opened by a strange man who had a key to my room. I screamed in fear and he then shut the door. I called the front desk and was told they would review the camera. Nobody called back with any sort of explanation. I was scared, nervous and feeling very stressed through the entire night. Could not sleep and was up at 6 am. I stayed to get away from life stresses and enjoy a night of calm. I very politely went to the front desk on Saturday am and asked if something could be done some sort or reimbursement or even a gift card for another stay. I live in the area and have suggested the hotel to many family and friends when visiting. I also asked for an explanation and was told it was the engineer. a male engineer should not be entering g any rooms at 11 pm at night on a Friday night. The sorry that I was given was insignificant and unacceptable. Mistake or not it was inappropriate and terrifying. My night was completely ruined and I remained uncomfortable throughout the remainder of my stay. Please reconsider how This was handled. I would like to be compensated in some way. Please allow me to get the bad taste out of my mouth and allow for another chance to support your business and continue to speak highly of your quality. We absolutely loved the view and the location right near the boardwalk but were disappointed that we had paid for an oceanfront room, only to discover upon arriving that the view was significantly blocked by the scaffolding in front of the building. It would have been helpful to know about that. But everything else was fantastic. We especially appreciated the voucher for the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service everywhere was excellent.

We had a good time during our stay - and normally wouldn't say anything negative. I am only writing this because we received 2 requests for feedback and it's says its a secure message. We didn't know the view of the beach would be through the scaffolding. We probably would have still come but would have liked the option to know. Also, both bathroom showers and the tub had only cold water so we weren't able to use. We mentioned at the front desk and were given a 20$ voucher that we used to a fruit bowl at the restaurant. We may stay again but would check the room water temps and ask about the renovations beforehand. We didn't have much contact with any employees but they seemed professinal and pleasant.

Good Night's rest!
The Allegria has quiet floors! this is genius, as we were there to get some rest before and after an (off site) event. I would give top marks if it weren't for the cold showers. For some reason the shower water would not get hot, no matter how long we ran it or how we changed the temp on the knob. but the bed and pillows were great and it was super quiet which we needed! Staff was friendly and accommodating
