Nice hotel but a fair way out of the city.

Hotel is located approximately 8 km from the main city precinct in an area of current urban renewal. The hotel does run a shuttle bus at set times so location is not too bad. It is also located not far from the MTR which is an easy flat walk. So for the price and if you are prepared to travel on local transport (which is half the fun) then this hotel is not a bad choice. Rooms were clean and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average but ok there were a number of choices for both western and eastern tastes. Overall our two days was quite enjoyable. If your are booking before mid march be aware that the pool is closed for maintenance.

Not value for the money for our 2 weeks stay

Pros: Responsive housekeeper Lily on 29/fl and staff mostly helpful.
Cons: No changing room/ shower/ toilets at swimming pool (must ask for key & go up to 4/fl), bad hygiene when users do not wash before using the pool!
Location: Ferry pier, MTR, local shopping & eateries in walking distance.
Our third stay here. This time for 2 weeks in a corner twin room on the top floor facing other buildings. Honestly it was a let down when we got no complimentary upgrade like we always do for long stays at other hotels. We picked this one to be near a work project and some relatives. APM is full of boring global brand name shopping and the restaurants there use excessive MSG, quite common in HK. Glad to see there were less factory trucks blocking the street this time but the tourist coaches were taking over! It took forever to wait for lifts from 7:30pm on during group check-in and near 7am for group check-out. Mind your toes when people pushed their way in with the luggage and back packs. Some can be rude! Noisy and chaotic lobby then. Though there is hotel shuttle bus service it only runs two hourly and for drop-off only if out-bound from the hotel. Watch closely if you wait at Kowloon Station as the bus may not be on time and when it does come, the driver will not make any effort to look for the guests--even though booked. If you missed it, too bad, it is gone! The swimming pool has no shower/ changing room/ toilet attached to it (the facilities are upstairs on 4/fl and keys only available from pool staff). Imagine how sweaty guests just won't bother washing first given the awkward set up & jump straight into the pool! If you don't care about the hygiene standard at the pool, go for it. Moreover, hard copies of daily newspapers are no longer available at the business cente
