Resort itself and the food was excellent. All the staff with the exception of the front desk staff were super friendly and really excellent. I was surprised that the front desk staff could not speak English very well considering that the majority of the people staying there were English speaking. Our friends had to change rooms and accidentally left a phone charger in the room and it took 2 days and multiple tries to get the charger back. The gift store was outrageously expensive. Wanted $68 us dollars for a bottle of sunscreen!

Fantastic staff, excellent food and a lovely Beach area. The beach area is a bit small but served its purpose. Pool area is very nice but we made the mistake of going during spring break and it was very noisy with young people hooting and hollering. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed for a week at Occidental Costa Cancun and it was amazing! All the staff are very friendly. Upon arrival there was a mix up due to booking third party and they were happy to make accommodations, upgrading our wrist bands to include room service and having the correct rooms available the following day. The bartenders and restaurant staff are very fun and friendly. Make sure you tip well! They deserve it and appreciate it. The entire facility is very clean. Housekeeping comes in daily to clean the rooms and they do an amazing job. It was my husband’s birthday and they left towels shaped as a cake with flowers and chocolates. The beach is on the smaller side but very nice and clean. Food was pretty good for an all inclusive. Having multiple restaurants, buffets, and a 24 hr snack bar, there’s sure to be something to your liking. Thank you Occidental staff for making our vacation great!

The resort is old. Location is by the ferry /boat pick up area which makes the water dirty . The beach is super small . No transportation or shuttle service! The staff is nice but somewhat careless due to the number of guests they cannot accommodate. Too many people and not enough seats by the pool or the beach . However , food is really good and shows are really good too. Bartenders are friendly . Nothing to do after 10pm!

This gices 3 star resort, it is very small and the beach is also small. I went for spring break and there were a lot of old people and babies around at the same time. There is only 1 pool and 2 bars, so the bars would get filled up pretty quickly making it hard to get a drink. The staff some were very sweet and others were just rude. If you asked for anything extra they seemed to have an attitude to do extra things, and did not seem willing to help out a lot. It was a nice resort on a budget, the food was mid, nothing was mouth watering good.
