Great staff, some food was cold and not great from room service, buffet food hit and miss, pools very clean and warm, beach fairly seaweed free minus some bits one day in water. Aquaworld booth staff by pools offered activities off site w/ transportation options. However they messed up our first payment having poor communication with the main aquaworld coordinator. We had to refund and repay later in the day when the booth salesperson found us again at the resort.... The day we were to get picked up he tried to say he needed more money for the ride ge didn't charge. I refused as he already messed up once and felt I was getting shakes down for more. Also note aquaworld charges a extra 20cad when getting to there site for "environmental protection" for some activities... Thought this scammy as I had to already pay to get into mexico for this. Watch them closely if dealing. Some bugs in room ants and one cockroach. Renovations were rushed and sloppy I could tell. Marks on floors where old stuff was removed and door didn't close to shower and bathroom(glass) had to hold close with a heavy garbage can. On last day we had a bad sleep due to thin walsl- loud spanish tv blasting 1AM.. had to get security to quiet it. Can hear chairs dragged along floors from neighbors alot in room. Loud concrete chipping in morning before we checked out also. Had to ask them to stop cause we had no sleep from the tv incident. Bedding very thick in room got hot and sweaty easy. A/C only no heat.

We did receive VIP check-in but that was about as far as the "VIP" experience got us. When we arrived we were informed that out room werent available for that night and we were to be "upgraded". We were given a beach from suite with only one king bed and a futon. We booked two rooms for three people and our third person now was being forced to sleep on a futon for a night. Also the room had a leak and the lamp shade was broken. Next day we we're moved to our original rooms with no mention of upgrades or resort credits for the inconvenience. Not a big deal but would have been a good gesture. Food was good, drinks were okay, entertainment was lacking. Overall was a reasonable stay.

the staff was GREAT.. and the two times that I had to request for housekeeping they arrived immediately. The dining options were decent and the keyless room entry was a great upgrade. Unfortunately the drinks were watered down heavy. me not being a drinker so usually 1-2 and I'm good for the day. but after 5 drinks including 3 tequila shots in a day and not even a blur not good. The lime was the strongest part. Very disappointing..

Loved our recent stay. Shout out to Camilo and Oliver at the back bar next to the pizza place. Camilo was friendly, cheerful and fun! Oliver was equally wonderful- made the best margs!!! Our daily maid did super work and when I left a note, I always received what I was looking for! Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Oh and the food! Loved the panini and Kambu salad at the poolside lunch spot. Mexican restaurant was also very good, loved the red and green enchiladas and the waiters were very good as well. Note that you need to use the App to make reservations at all the restaurants (not the buffet) and you should do this at the beginning of your stay to get the times you want. Highly recommend this resort!! Of note, there were many families with children so if that is not something you would enjoy, take note. Was our second year going here in a row and hope next year will make it three!

Asked for an upgrade in the room they completely ignored me. Also, I had to work entertainment I’ve ever seen expect people to entertain him with stupid karaoke and other things that are in the pool area at the people at the entertain you their entertainment was the worst I’ve ever seen. Also, Expedia, we paid for a ride to and back from the hotel and they never picked us up. We had to take a cab across twice as much I would never use them again.
