"Great family hotel for snowfields trip"
My family really enjoyed staying at the Snowy Mountains Motel. The room, although not overly fancy, was warm, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was fantastic - far exceeded our expectations! Staff were friendly. There was a lovely communal area with fireplace, games, and best, a play area for the kids. It was also fairly close to the Selwyn snowfields (about a 40 minute drive, depending on road conditions) so very convenient for our snow trip. I would definitely stay there again the next time we go to the snow! Perhaps with another family or relatives.

"Nice hotel, easy to get to Thredbo village"
Everything was fine, the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants and shops. Just had a small issue with the weak hot tap water (the shower was fine) and weak Wifi. Overall was a good experience we had as a family of three. Would recommend to my friends!

"Off-piste Ski Lodge"
Rivergum Lodge is a beautifully kept old-school ski lodge that just happens to be 40 minutes from the slopes. Bathrooms, dining, lounge and games rooms are all communal. The host is gregarious. The vast expanses of bare timber and hundreds of bottles hanging from the ceiling reminded me of lodges in Europe. If you don't mind the drive to the slopes and mucking in with the other guests, this place is a bargain.

"Clean and warm"
Clean room with plenty of blankets, electric blankets on all beds plus great heater. Also had a heater in the bathroom which was very much appreciated. My only gripe is small but attention to detail is important. Especially at $220 per night. They could be more generous with milk and cookies, only enough for two people in a four person room.

"Convenient. Friendly. Clean."
Obviously still under renovation - but the rooms were super clean and felt nice. Some little niggles on unfinished items but nothing worth a bad review. Super convenient and walking distance from pubs, shops and cafes. Nice people, easy check-in/out and warm inside the rooms in winter!

"Excellent budget snow accommodation"
We stayed at this hotel for a budget weekend down at Perisher. We frequently head down there for weekends away and, coming down from Sydney each time, we try to do it on the cheap. We've stayed in some dodgy places and expected this one to be the same. We were pleasantly surprised! Prior to arriving, the staff contacted us to ensure that we would arrive on time. When it was discovered that we would be in late, they left the keys for us, and turned the heater on so that it would be comfortable when we arrived. Unlike most of the hotels in this price bracket down in the alpine region, this one has excellent hot water, comfy beds and was very clean. There was even a nice sized TV! The staff were very friendly, and we couldn't be happier. If they weren't frequently booked out, we would definitely stay more often!
