The front desk lady was very nice and helpful but the room had a heater that could not be regulated so the room was either 110° or 30. I had to keep getting up in the middle of the night to turn the heater on for a while, to get the heat back up. If I left it on for too long, it would roast me out.

All was right at El Rancho.
Our stay met our expectations for comfort, cleanliness and convenience. The ownership has been updating the property and that is appreciated. Being an older property, the walls seem to be a bit on the thin side and maybe not well insulated. Therefore, noise from adjacent rooms could be an issue. It wasn’t for us on this stay; luckily no rude or disrespectful neighbors. I rate El Rancho as the best value in Thermop and will be staying again when traveling that direction.
