The hotel was getting renovated so the construction was slightly annoying sometimes but not to concerning, our room was in a great spot. Amazing sitting on the balcony at night have some drinks. Location to shops,restaurants and activities was good. Would certainly love to come back here and would recommend! Loved our time in Kauai.

Had room 82. 1 bedroom garden cottage. There was no comfortable chair to sit on in the room to read, watch Tv or on the porch. Spoke with staff and all they could give me was a folding chair with padded seat. That detracted from everything else. Place looking tired and in need of general maintenace... painting, Resturant closed. Location and expanse of grounds made up for deficits. Hammocks a winner.

Beautiful accomodation located in paradise. After a wonderful but hectic time on Oahu Island it was a relief to escape the tourist hustle and bustle and get back to chilled out local Hawaiian vibes. Cannot fault the staff, accomodation or surroundings at HCR.

We arrived to find we had a room overlooking a construction zone. This was not told to us at the time of booking. The hotel did agree to swap our room but it was hours late getting ready which they also offered to conpensate with a small credit. Unfortunately the credit never appeared on our bill. Whilst the pool and beach access was lovely to failure to let us know what was happening with the construction and the series of failed promises to make up for it was very poor customer service.
