The owner full on admitted at check-in that they PURPOSELY falsely advertise about parking as "parking available" and not mention the fee so that they dont lose potential customers. Turns out parking is $15 per night - totally understandable and reasonable but to admit thay to a guest at check in is disgusting operating behavior and not professional by any means. There are also many strict rules posted randomly around the house. Such as, their locks are pretty tricky and if you dont maneuver them in the EXACT specific way you might break it and you would then be charged for replacing it. Another strange rule was no toilet paper in the toilet or you could be fined. The neighborhood was quaint and had an old time charm which i quite enjoyed. Unfortunately I woke up to my driver side window smashed even with no valuables in sight. It was not a pleasant stay for me at all. This will not be my first choice to stay next time, but I guess, in the end, you get what you pay for...

Simple Clean and Convenient
This is a home located a 15 minute walk to the Yonge subway or a 3 minute walk to a streetcar that takes you to the subway. All transit works on a tap credit/debit card. (Best Transit Innovation I have seen in a long time) The area from the hotel to Yonge street is basically a university area. That is who I saw walking on the street for the most part. It is a converted house where some rooms share a bathroom and a kitchen. The rooms are like the guest room in my own home. It is not like a hotel. Some of the articles are worn but all worked. The front room does have some road noise but it is not a busy road at night. Owners are not on site but they had excellent communication with me as I had delays getting into Toronto. They ask you to bring your balance in cash. While this is basically in a area with University students I was uncomfortable walking down the street with $500 in my pocket. They really need to change that. I would recommend Keurig machines in the rooms. I had access to a coffee maker in the kitchen, but who is travelling with a pound of coffee and filters. I really liked this spot it worked well for me and I would use it again.
