Best location! Hotel lobby and breakfast area is beautiful. Unfortunately, the corridors were very dirty, carpets were stained, and there was a very strong smell of mold throughout the floors. I originally checked in to room 775. Very tiny room smelled very bad. Had black mold on the carpets on the wall and in the shower. The seventh floor smelled very bad and it was hard to stay in the room even with the air-conditioning on. I requested to move a room and was moved to the 15th floor, which was much better and in a way better condition and smell room 1533 had a beautiful, layout and view of Taipei, 101. Overall, the upper floor rooms seemed much cleaner and nicer. The corridors were less dirty and smelly so it was a very pleasant stay.

Was in different parts of Taiwan before checking into this hotel in Taipei which was our last stop. Overall experience of Taiwan is that the people are warm and nice. But was sad to say I did not experience the warmth from the reception when checking in. The lady receptionist who helped checked us in was unfriendly. And the housekeeping was poor. Checked in with obvious rubbish on the floor and tea cups and pots with tea still in it. The leftover food we left in the room wasn’t cleared when we return to the room. FYI I did tried to bring the leftover food to the hotel lobby hoping to find a dustbin i can dispose them but there was no dustbin in sight both inside and outside the hotel. I was told to leave them in the room for housekeeping to clear. Overall, ok to stay but a bit busy cause occupancy rate is high. So waiting for the lift is difficult during peak hours. Walking distance to Ximenting and train station is the only positive feedback I can give. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, so cleanliness of the room was the key consideration for us.

I like their queen size beds, their close proximity to Ximending and MRT station. Their shower/tub threshold is too high. Need to be careful when enter/exit shower to avoid hitting your knee.
