Overall it was good. The one downside is that the temporary sign is very hard to see from the street - we wasted time finding the place. Be aware there is no breakfast, but coffee is available and there are places to get breakfast within easy walking distance. Location is good - close to the state park & beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is not fancy but we found it more than adequate. We found the location of the Regency Inn excellent! It is bordered on both sides by seafood restaurants which were very good with other restaurants within easy walking distance; it is directly across from the public pier; and it is set back from the beach access street which means the hotel is quiet. Our only objection was the room has no place to hang clothes

Very basic and "tired"
The hotel, rooms, pool, etc. look better in the pictures than in person. Th room was clean but sparse. There was a single chair in the room and 2 "beaten up" wooden cubes (2' squares) that were set up like a coffee table in front of the chair. No luggage rack nor hangers or rack for hanging clothes. The shower/toilet area had been renovated (poorly) recently, but a bigger issue is the door swings into that space. My husband is a big guy and he could hardly find room to stand so he could get the door shut. The walls are very thin. We could hear every word from the TV in the room next to ours. Because it was clean we made due, but this hotel is not one we'll return to.

Excellent beach location, great value
Room 204, with one king bed, was clean, spacious & comfy. The desk staff were friendly. The rooms have been remodeled & have no carpeting, which makes me happy, because carpet holds gross dirt even after vacuuming. There was a decent-sized mini fridge and a small microwave. Everything was in great working order. I could hear sounds from the adjoining rooms, but I travel with earplugs, so it didn't bother me. There was one stain on the ceiling that looked like a previous roof leak that had been painted over. The location is perfect - right across from a major beach access, tucked behind a well-stocked Circle K and with 5-6 restaurants within walking distance. I booked late - the same morning of my first night, and found a great rate on Hotels.com.
