Have stayed at Hotel Fort Canning previously and really enjoyed it. This time not so much. The property has not been maintained well - the upholstery on the chair in our room was torn, visible dust and cobwebs, lots of paint on the building has cracked and flaked off, area around pool is quite tired with pieces falling off steps, tiles missing from pool, and canvas covers on day beds stained a mossy green. Also disappointed with the quality of food and drinks at the restaurant and bar.
There were a lot of events occurring this time we stayed which is absolutely fine for a hotel but the separation between hotel guests wasn't there. I was squeezing past conference attendees to get towels for the pool (in swimsuit) and felt like I walked through a wedding a few times. Awkward for me and not great for paying conference/wedding guests.
Plus sides are it is is quiet, in a beautiful setting, and the rooms as are well appointed and cosy.
Anyway, standards and quality have slipped here. All of these things are fine and acceptable at a lower standard of hotel but that's not what Hotel Fort Canning is pitched at, or charges for. Probably wouldn't stay here again as a result.

Hotel is looking tired in areas as it appears they have not kept up maintenance. Service was poor, other than some individuals who were great. Have stayed there several times in the past and it is today not at the same standard it was some years ago.

The place is located within a beautiful gardens which overlooks the city. The meals were excellent and great variety, buffet breakfast. You are able to walk to all the great attractions with ease. The staff were all friendly and could help with any requests. We weren't able to get a late check out but were given full access to the hotel and members club until the time we were required to leave for the airport. Highly recommend this place for a getaway to Singapore to explore the city.

A beautiful hotel in a building of real character, a tranquil oasis in the bustle of modern Singapore. There are no downsides to this place unless you want extensive city views or immediate shopping access!

Hotel Fort Canning was a beautiful oasis in the middle of bustling Singapore. The beds are comfortable and the rooms bright, modern and clean. The air conditioning is very welcome after a day in the very warm weather and the pool was a favourite place to relax and cool down. The staff are amazing, helpful and so friendly. It was a beautiful 10 day stay.

Hotel Fort Canning is an amazing hotel for the history surrounding the property. Beautiful rooms, Fantastic staff, very clean and welcoming. Very comfy bed, pillows and great shower. Staff are very professional, friendly, helpful and courtious.

Gorgeous, historic hotel with good facilities in the heart of lush fort canning park. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the pool is fantastic and the breakfast choices are varied. It's my fourth time staying here. Every time is as enjoyable as the last, which is why I keep coming back.
