The staff at reception are rude and extremely slow .did not give us the room we originally booked and had to change. Said they were fully booked. Isn’t that why you pre book your room?

I paid for balcony room ,because photos had table and chairs on balcony which l thought is what l was getting.But l was told at check in the Door is locked and l would have to sign a waiver to have it unlocked.And there was no furniture on it so l didn’t bother. Should have known that before l paid for something l didn’t get. Very disappointed

some of the staff were persistent with the tipping, others weren't so stubborn or demanding. As usual we had a mix of people for service, the most being great.

Loved the service, also had buddy phone free of charge supplied by hotel to help guests find way around city and comes with free internet and all phone calls. Breakfast was lovely too.

convenient location to the city

Pros: close to China town and facilities. Explorer bus right outside hotel.
Cons: None
Location: Chinatown etc
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff, especially the concierge staf were excellent and should be commended

Pleasant hotel

My husband and I stayed at Copthorne King for three nights whilst in Singapore. The deal I got was for room only with a balcony (door did not open). It didn't include breakfast, but that didn't worry me as I thought there would be places close by to eat or we could have breakfast at the hotel anyway. Firstly, the breakfast cost $29, which I thought was too expensive. Secondly, there are no places close by to eat. We were able to buy some cornflakes and milk and other essentials from the service station 2 doors down, so that was ok. The room itself was very comfortable, although pillows a bit hard. A twenty minute walk down the road brings you to a hawker centre selling excellent food at very cheap prices $2 - $5. Another 10 minutes walk brings you to Chinatown, which is foodie heaven in itself. Walking is flat, no hills, very easy going at night and quite safe. We walked down there each night for a bit of excercise. Overall, it's a nice hotel, nice pool, but pricey restaurant.

Good location & well presented but small rooms

Good location, close to the river & transport. Eating in is expensive but there are plenty of cheap places to eat in nearby China town. We had a family room, with a King & single bed. There wasn't much room for anything else & couldn't go out on the balcony so it made it a bit difficult putting kids to bed. If we stayed here again inter-connecting rooms would be the go, however the kids were a bit young for this. Pool was great.
