Falsely advertised as a 5 star hotel, this is clearly not. The staff were wonderful and very welcoming but the place itself is in a state of disrepair in many areas, as highlighted by previous reviews. Our oceanview room was nice enough although a bit rough round the edges and having no towl rails or anywhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom is a fundamental design flaw. The food was also poor, although we had breakfast included ended up going out any paying for it elsewhere. Would have been ok if this had been advertised as a 3 star hotel but feel a bit ripped off having paid 5 star price.

We had been staying elsewhere in Semanyak and moved to Anantara- best thing we ever did! Superb location and amenities.

Inconsistent and tired
Let’s start with the staff ready were trying to do their best. There are just too many things to mention. Rooms tired, chipped and windows mouldy. No coffee at breakfast for over an hour. Room not ready on arrival. Olive pip in the tapenade. The list of little things goes on ... it felt like cost cutting was pushing the poor staff to their limits. Maybe ok in a budget hotel but not in supposedly five star luxury. Save your money. Bali has too many gorgeous hotels for half the price. Location was great! Staff really did their best!

Lovely Hotel on the beach with everything
Pros:The facilities and staff I can not fault. The food and drink service was exceptional.
Cons:We booked this hotel as a package, we needed to change dates and the hotel was not accommodating and charged us an extra $100/night. The spa was dirty
Location:Location could not be better with plenty of activities nearby within walking distance.
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and offered a complimentary drink. We were then taken to our lovely room with pool access and the facilities of the hotel were explained. After exploring the town a little we enjoyed a great night sleep in a king size bed that was very comfortable. Upon awakening we went up to level 4 for breakfast. The food and view was gorgeous with such a variety of food to choose from. You could have as little or as much as you wanted. The pool facilities were excellent, it was so nice lying there by the pool looking at the beach and the staff were ever so nice and courteous and so were the drinks and food on offer. My stay was only for 4 nights but I could of easily stayed there for 1 month. My overall experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I will be definitely staying there again. Great Place!!!!!
