Wind blew noisily under entrance door enough to wake you up. Toilet was exceptionally low and looked ready to fall over. Breakfast food was not replenished when empty. A final “gift” of $30.00 per day parking fee was not expected.

I saw this hotel on the Expedia website with about 1,500 reviews, which looked decent, and the room pictures seemed alright, so I booked it. When I arrived in Savannah and checked Google Maps, it only had one star. I felt uneasy but thought I could manage for one night. However, I was woken up in the middle of the night by loud engines outside. It was past 2 AM. After about ten to twenty minutes, someone ran down the hallway and started shouting at people outside the bar across the street, which scared me as I was with my two young daughters. I called the front desk to report our experience. The receptionist was apologetic but mentioned they had no other rooms available due to the weekend rush and promised the manager would contact me the next day. They assured me they had recorded my experience. I couldn't sleep that night out of fear. The next morning, when I went to check out, another front desk staff, unaware of my ordeal, was rude and mentioned the manager hadn't arrived yet, so they couldn't do anything. I suggested leaving my phone number for the manager to contact me, but I never received a call all day. It's hard to trust Expedia ratings.

Perfect location next to River Street and downtown Savannah. This is a motel where doors to your room open up to the outside. It’s SUPER loud in this area (road traffic) but they have great blackout curtains and a noise machine in the rooms. Andre was SUPER helpful and friendly. A great rate and close to everything which is very walkable.

We loved our stay in Savannah. Who wouldn't appreciate biscuits and gravy at breakfast and then cookies and lemonade in the afternoon? And the concierge, Mary, was just absolutely the best! She gave us sound advice, hooked us up with transportation, and helped us map out our stay. Mary is priceless!
