The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort is accessible via boat transfer from Merang Jetty Terminal. Guests should note that they are required to pay jetty fees imposed by the Malaysian government at the terminal upon arrival. Boat schedule using hotel's private boat transfer: Departure from Merang Jetty to Resort (12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM). Departure from Resort to Merang Jetty: 8 AM, 10 AM, and noon. Overall, great place to beach vacation. The water was really clear and warm but not too warm, just right. The one thing that I did not like was the bed. It was very hard; I woke up with a stiff neck. Other than that, amazing place to vacation.

Fantastic staff; service was excellent. What led my rating for the resort down especially with regards to eco friendliness was that smoking is still generally allowed, even in beachside where kids play
