Room Air conditioner was broken and was not fixed after repeat reminders. Carpet was dirty. Car parking is 4/5 floor below and is a nightmare to get in and out. Wanted to check out early due to family emergency, they did not approve. Access road is all dug up. No VIP benefits, no upgrade. On a positive note, most staff were very courteous and helpful.

Porto Palácio pretty good
Good ,but not 5-star as claimed. Nice touch with free gingerbread at the desk throughout the day. TV could not be switched off,and they failed to rectify this. Pool didn't open until 9am, by which time I was usually away. Courteous with good English. Christmas Lunch excellent .valet parking prompt. Had a gigantic bed ! Arrived in a hire car in the dark ,and couldn't see the hotel name,which was at the top of the next building ,and only found the ground floor name on foot when checking out!
