Great for introverts.
I’m a person who loved privacy and this guest house was great for that. There was a coded entry and I never had to interact with anybody. Great location. I loved the creative touches like the Elliot Smith room etcetera. I would stay here again.

My only reason for not giving five stars for property condition was that during the power outage of 1/9-1/10, the stairs to the basement rooms could have used emergency lighting of some kind--such as the cheap, battery operated devices that can be bought at any hardware store. The stairs were very dark! In fact, such lights could be installed in every room and corridor for very little money. Typically they are operated by touch and then turn on, providing limited hours of light during an emergency. Otherwise, I love the Bluebird guesthouse and plan more stays there this year!

I especially appreciate the environmental consciousness of the place, and the lack of scented and heavily chemical cleaning products -- except for the soap in the bathroom. I have allergies and I am always looking for non-scented places to stay.

First of all, the whole place is charming. Second of all there were hooks everywhere and I used them all! That may seem odd but it's my biggest issue with hotels. I hope to stay there again
