High end resort, absolute beachfront. Hotel food and drink prices are expensive, but I guess that is to be expected. Plenty of other restaurants nearby to eat.

Great location; a little pricey
We arrived at 3:00 am and reception from staff wasn't great. We had to walk ourselves to our room with our luggage. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a bit of a view of the beach. The location was amazing. Close to shops, taxis and restaurants. Beautiful beach and pool bar staff were great. Buffet meals were pricey but staff and facilities were generally great. spa treatments were crazy expensive in comparison to those at the shops. Gym facilities were good but poorly advertised - they offer free yoga etc but we didn't know until the end of our stay. I'd go back.

This is the second time we have stayed at this resort and have found it to be in such a good location and handy to everything. The staff are friendly and the rooms have a lovely outlook to the beach.

Big resort out of the hustle and bustle of Phuket
The Kata is a really big resort that seems to cater to all on holidays. There is a mixture of couples and family there. It is in a good location where there is plenty to do and see while being out of the craziness of Patong Beach. If you are up for that though, there are plenty of taxis around to take you there.

Amazing views of the ocean
Pros:The loungers set up along the beach, and the proximity to the beach. The pool was great too.
Cons:The ant situation in rooms.
Location:Beach is a great walk. There are waterspouts available for purchase / hire. There is a tourist booth in the hotel that deals with the touristy stuff.
The hotel was under renovation during our stay, so we were compensated with free wifi. I saw those tiny crazy ants so many times around our room that they appeared in my nightmares. Oh and don't expect your type of room to look like. The hotel is essentially fine - It's in a great location, and it has loungers out so you can sit and stare at the beach.

Great Location, could improve with little effort.
Pros:Location was excellent. Good access to the Beach and Shops. Staff were awesome.
Great place to relax by the Beach, or the Pool.
Cons:WIFI should be free. TV reception, and variety of Channels was terrible.
The Pool Bar was far too expensive. Competitive Pricing would improve trade.
Had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean. The Location was excellent, with easy access to the Beach, and close to the Shops and Restaurants. The Swimming Pools were good. The Breakfast was great, with a good variety to choose from. The Staff were very courteous, informative, and fun to deal with. The WIFI was NOT free.
Apart from Breakfast, which was part of the Package, we chose to Eat and Drink away from the Resort. This was due to the high costs the Resort charged for both Food and Beverages. Outside Restaurants and Bars were in close proximity to the Resort, where you could get a massage, eat all types of food, and enjoy your favourite Beverages. All within walking distance from the Resort. Forget about having good TV coverage at the Resort.
The Pool Bar was perfectly placed, but was rarely used due to High Costs. They priced themselves out of the market. Beers were a third of the price outside the Resort.

A nice hotel which was close to beach.
Pros:Location, Beach and Hotel Restaurants
Cons:The last few days our neighbours had visitors continually out on their deck and all of them smoked. This meant we could not use the deck at all.
The hotel location is great. Whilst some of the decor is dated it is comfortable. Hotel restaurants and food where great. We had a swim out pool which was great. Enjoyed most things about the reort.
