I love the New Yorker for its convenience and it’s throwback to a bygone era. Close to Penn Station, with lots of restaurants nearby. The subway is literally right there. Great place to stay.

Everything you need in NYC
This hotel is in a prime location. Easy access from Airports to LIRR or subway. Staff are friendly and good food choices very close by. Room is cleaned and free from trash daily. A great hotel

Great Location and safe !
We spent three nights here to see Billy Joel, and sight see. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the lobby was welcoming and very nice. I especially liked that to get to the elevators you had to show a room key, made me feel safe. The room was small as I expected but very clean bed was comfortable, the only issue was the size of the bathroom. It is very small and no room for toiletries. The hot wat was hard to regulate and was either really hot or cold. The tick tock diner was excellent. We didn't use the fitness center or the business center , we did enough fitness walking around the city! Overall for proximity to the Amtrak station and Madison Square Garden I would recommend The New Yorker

Can’t get a better location for Madison square garden events. It’s right down the street. Lots of eating options nearby. Older hotel, but that’s part of the charm. Great NYC experience.
