While the staff were kind and the room was clean I am not impressed. When I first entered the room the cleaner they used was so strong I had to open the window and leave for a bit because it gave me a headache. My husband and I decided to go to a convenient store about 5 minutes away to get water. The area feels unsafe with many people who are clearly under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. We saw needles on the street as well as nitrile gloves and other garbage. At night you could hear people on the street yelling. Im glad I did not travel to Montreal alone, the city feels dangerous. On our second night a strong smell of sulphur engulfed our room and when we brought it up we were told "if it doesn't go away in thirty minutes let us know" no explanation of what was causing it or if it was safe to stay. Luckily it did dissipate after a while. Our shower did not have hot water, so we had to have cold showers. We tried waiting for it to heat up for about ten minutes before finally giving up. Overall I would not stay here again even if I absolutely had too. I would honestly never travel to Montreal again and wish I never had to come here in the first place.

I had a pleasant stay, room had a fridge to store things for my quick breakfast as I had early excursions. The heating was also on at a great temperature didn’t have to change it. Clean and a great location on St Catherine Rue walkable down to a pedestrian sector about 2 blocks down.
