Unfortunately we booked a room for two nights. Rm# 241 had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the bed was old an squeaky and the room was not clean as there was hair on the bedding that did not belong to either of us. I wanted to change the room but my boyfriend was exhausted and did not want to change our belongings after we had carried them upstairs.

We only stayed one night because we attended a wedding at Carmel (which was 10 mins away) so there was not much interaction with the staff. Check-in was a breeze...they actually had our key/room ready around 2:30. The property is old but well maintained..it was clean and the sheets were fresh and crisp...very important. Other than the walls between the room being thin that you can clearly hear the conversation next door, it was a nice stay. Check out was also quick. The property was close to restaurants and the highway so that was also good.

A nice attempt at renovating but it fell short...
For a 2 star hotel i would give it 4/10. Mainly for the comfort of the bed. I feel they made an attempt to remodel the rooms with vinyl plank floors and a nicely remodel bathroom. The shelfing could be better and maintenance should take a look at an unstable toilet. The shower was extremely nice with multiple shower heads. The room was very clean and the parking was free which I appreciated. I need at least a 6/10 to return or recommend it. The bed killed it for me.
