Property is under large scale construction which is not noted on their website or through Expedia, but still try to upcharge you? Little hot water, access around the property confusing. Still charge a resort fee even though there is no direct beach access, pool no longer heated, fitness center closed. TV did not work in our room even though we asked for it to be corrected on the first night stay of a 4-night stay. No phone to call, we had to walk to front desk to ask for towels, cleaning, etc. We should not have been put in a position to demand a TV in another room just to watch the Super Bowl. We have stayed at other Tides properties throughout the US. Though we have stayed at this property over the past thirty years under various names, thus property definitely brings down the Tides brand name.

We weren’t notified that they are having major renovations being done at the property. They were sawing and drilling throughout the day. Right next to our room. Our tv’s didn’t work, no hot water for showers (lukewarm), the walkways were blocked off with do not enter signs that we had to go around to go our room. No overhead lights to get to room at night. Very disappointed with our stay

Too pricey for what it is!
The hotel is in shambles with construction happening. Our TV was broken and the toilet too. Staff kept coming to our room incorrectly and they also cleaned our window while we were sitting there having breakfast. It seemed like the people working there were trying their best but it was a confused mess. We had our dog so with a price point of almost $500, it is not acceptable. The people working there are very nice but it does not offset the rest.

The property is under renovation but it's not disclosed either to Expedia or on their website. The rooms, despite the beautiful ocean view, are severely overpriced; the rooms are outdated, small and dark inside. The pictures of property are misleading in that they give the false impression that the hotel is beautiful. The hotel restaurant food and service, however, were excellent! Marley, the server, is super nice and friendly!

GUESTS BEWARE!
HOTEL DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTOS! We decided to do a quick trip last minute to go see the aquarium, upon arriving at this hotel the entire hotel had tarps and scaffolding all around it which was not disclosed ahead of time! The room was dirty and the furniture was scuffed and paint was chipping off walls it truly reminded me of staying in a trucker motel! The only good thing was the view was nice but there was some sort of wire hanging off the above floor down by our balcony. My kids were even scared to stay here because of how dirty and run down the place was. They charged us a random $73 with no notice or receipt and I can not get an explanation from anyone as to why, we didn’t even use the showers or anything. There was trash from previous guests still in the room and cirgarette smells coming from next door. After sleeping in the bed my son woke up with a huge rash all over his face, we definitely will not be returning to this hotel. I did attempt to reach out before leaving a review and their customer service was so terrible that I ended up just hanging up.
