We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was modern, clean and welcoming. There were lots of stores and restaurants close by, and by the car it was only seven minutes away from downtown Carmel.

Pillow was lumpy and not comfortable. Not sure what the source was, but there was a constant level of noise heard from inside our room. Like a loud refrigerator or blower. Then when the heater would kick in, it was so loud that it would startle us awake from our sleep. I had to turn it off and just deal with being cold.

My girlfriend and I had an excellently one night stay! The entire place is very clean and well kept. The bathrooms, pool, hottub were all spotless which is almost unusual these days. The rooms had a really nice vibe with beautiful furniture. Everything felt rather sturdy which is also rare. Built inside of the hotel is a reastruant "Seaside Tavern" which had an amazing skirt steak meal. No exaggeration. They also make the mixed drinks with plenty of alcohol! All the staff we interacted with, hotel and reastraunt, were incredibly courteous. If we ever visit Carmel again we are definitely staying there again.

Remodeled motel. Fine but nothing wow
It was fine - the rooms were fine - nothing special. We paid an extra $100 for our dog and we didn’t get even a water bowl or poop bags. Its near a gas station and a strip mall so there is access to food options but charming it’s not.

Remodeled rooms have emphasized form over function. There is no place to hang ANYTHING! They need some hooks or at least a clothes tree. The closet is just a tiny inset covered by a curtain. The sink has no counter space. Bare floors don't even have throw rugs by beds. Toiletries in shower too hard to pump, so virtually unusable.

We stayed one night in the room with the balcony and it was great. The whole property looks super clean and pretty modern. The staff is great. The rooms was super clean and very modern. Beds were super nice. The only things that bugged me a bit was that the room had no bath tub and the sliding door was a bit beat up. No big deal though. Would not mind staying here again to get to enjoy the pool area.
