Everything about the hotel looked nice and the people working there were very helpful. I would say however, they need better security as it is Miami, with everything that has been going on there lately, and I was assaulted in their hallway to my room by someone staying there.

Amazing stay at this cute boutique hotel! Comfortable and cute rooms, amazing pool area with options for different bars and all of the staff and bartenders were attentive and extremely nice. Would definitely stay here again with my girlfriends.

We had a great stay at The Plymouth South Beach! It's not directly on the beach but it's super close (we walked each time even though the hotel offers a shuttle) and in an area that's close to everything. We enjoyed the heated pool/pool bar, the sushi restaurant on the premises, and took advantage of the two Pelotons in the gym. If I had to call out the negatives: they were a lot of noisy construction happening in the pool area and there wasn't much of a 'scene' when we were there at night - it's a very quiet hotel (at least when we went!) so keep that in mind! You also do get beach chairs/towels when you go down to the beach BUT no other services so you'll want to bring your own snacks/drinks.

Had I known the condition of this property I would not have stayed here. Although it is listed as a 4.5 start hotel, I knew it was not what I was looking for when I saw the lobby. Everything looked dated in the lobby with tape on the floor and dirty carpet. When we arrived in our room a musty smell was immediately apparent. I called the front desk and with no answer (right after our check-in at approximately 7:00pm), I went to the lobby to be helped. She mentioned sending up an engineer and housekeeping. I immediately let her know that a "spritz" was not going to fix the issue, and housekeeping came up and literally sprayed febreeze all over the room. When that didn't fix it, we were given another room. We stayed in this room, but it had ripped sheets and a rusty light in the shower. The beach access, and the employee at the hotel bar was the only saving grace.
