Furniture was ripped in lounge-tv in lounge didn’t work - paint peeling in ensuite- this was meant to be an executive apartment- certainly significantly below standard.

The receptionist was lovely. The room was sub standard for the price. It stunk of bleach, coming from bathroom sink. The tiles had dirty work boot prints all over them. The fans were covered in thick dust. The room was hot upon arriving and didn't seem to cool down. The bedrooms had better aircon. The balcony had 2 chairs and 1 small table. Room was booked for 3 people and slept 4. The dining table had rust and long time grim under glass. Only one of the 2 keys given to us worked. The pool has rubbish all around it. Loads in the garden beds. On the plus side the beds were comfortable. For the price, I would stay elsewhere.

The lounges in reception really need replacing - doesn’t give a good first impression. Carpet in room very worn. Housekeeping is hit and miss. Sometimes bed made but not always and missed us completely one day (as we returned late we couldn’t tell anyone reception was closed). Restaurant isn’t always open so forget room service. The room we were in was extremely hot for October and the Aircon doesn’t go lower than 19 so rather uncomfortable and doesn’t cool down until late evening. Rather disappointed as we often stay at Oaks (and are away usually 200-300 nights per year) and this isn’t their usual standard.

Dear Robyn,Thank you for providing a review. We value feedback as this gives us insight to areas which can improve on.I apologise your stay did not meet expectations. It is never out intention for guests to leave disappointed and I apologise we fell short in this instance.Our couches in reception are due for replacement. The replacements have been ordered, we are waiting on delivery. We agree these don't provide the best impression on arrival.Our restaurant was open during your stay for breakfast and dinner services and room service is possible during these times. I apologise this was not communicated to you during your stay.Our contractors have checked the air conditioning unit in your room and found it to be working. The temperature can be lowered to 16 degrees as well as the speed turned up to cool the room more efficiently. Our reception is manned from 6am - 10.30pm and we have a caretaker available overnight for any issues. We have passed on your feedback concerning the housekeeping team to the relevant manager. We thank you for bringing this to our attention.We hope you may choose to stay with us again so that we can turn this around.Warm Regards,

Room had a few issues, cracks in the walls in 3 places, very noisy dryer and exhaust fan in bathroom, tv issues but overall very handy to retail and dining outlets.
