We had an amazing stay on the houseboat. We were only there for 1 night, but we would've stayed longer if we had known about it. Great option instead of a standard hotel. A bit loud at night from the bars close by, but it was easy to sleep. Super comfy, soft bed. Highly recommend!!

It was kind of fun to be on the boat, though we barely felt any movement. The waterfront area is quite nice, near the aquarium and good restaurants. Not close to "downtown", but it is an easy subway ride away.

Pros: 1) All the boats are behind a secure electric locked gate. 2) Not much water movement when on the boat, so no "sea-sick" feeling. 3) Boats are quiet, so even though close together, couldn't hear their occupants. Cons: 1) For most of our trip, the t.v. wasn't working - not a great detractor, but annoying nevertheless. 2) Missing fire alarm - not noticed by the reception crew, but was installed on the same day it was pointed out. 3) Pub/bar outside of the marina (about ~70m from the boats) likes to play music loud in the evening - not overly intrusive, but you can hear the bass. Overall, it was a great trip - the boat was a novel experience, and would certainly hire/stay here again.

Communication before we arrived was excellent. Cabs were set up for us to get into Belem and the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed staying on the boat. The area had plenty of restaurants for dinner but was quiet. We would love to return and stay longer.
