Nicer than expected and very convenient to the ski resort. We especially liked how the rooms were bright. Too often rooms are dim and it makes you feel like they are trying to hide how dirty or old the rooms are. This was clean and in good condition. Also the breakfast is very good.

Ski and rest at Mountaineer Lodge
We were surprised at how quiet it was with the railway so close! We were there to ski at Lake Louise (only 2 km away with a shuttle service) and it was perfect! Lunched at the Station Restaurant (a short drive) and dined at Bill Peyto’s Cafe (a short walk). Both yummy!

Value x experience isn’t worth, the only good point is that is close to the lake. Breakfast was very good and staffs very nice. The fact that u need to walk outside to go to room or hot tub is terrible. Overall it was a ok stay. Bedroom isn’t bad

My family and I had a two night stay booked at the Mountaineer Lodge as we were flying into Calgary on a Friday, and heading to Lake Louise for the weekend. On Friday morning our flight had been cancelled and rescheduled for the following day, meaning we would miss a night in Lake Louise. Even after explaining the whole situation to the hotel, we were quite disappointed that they did not consider allowing us to cancel our room for the Friday evening to receive a refund as it was impossible for us to get there since we were stuck on the other side of the country. I understand that there is a cancellation policy, but due to the circumstances and us already losing out on money, it was discouraging to hear that a refund or even a partial refund was not considered.

Wonderful Stay
We stayed 2 nights in a 2 Queen bed room. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and it was easy to adjust the temperature inside the room. The continental breakfast served hot food and the hotel is close to restaurants for meals the rest of the day. The hot tub area is quite lovely with plants in the corner and a sauna room with therapeutic scents. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
