We enjoyed our stay at The Marker. The hallway carpeting is in desperate need of replacing (it’s quite smelly), but the room was very clean. The walls, however, are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors at regular speaking volume as well as all the hallway traffic at all hours. The three pool areas and pool bar was exceptional and the resort is walkable to many bars, restaurants, shops, and excursions. I would stay again but I would try another resort before returning to The Marker.

I loved the location of the hotel. Close to shopping, fresh fish eateries, and within walking distance to Duval Street and its action and excitement. The daily text “check-in’s” by hotel staff were also very helpful. I was able to text them from wherever I was to ask “where’s the best….?” And they got back to me within a few minutes. It’s was a great stay!!

The bar area was nice and the staff were very friendly! I did not like the fact that there were so many people in the pool area that were not staying at the hotel or the fact that they brought their children. I think there should be a separate pool outside the resort area that would allow locals and their children. People go on vacation to relax and it’s hard to do with children screaming and splashing around.

When checking out, l saw a $150 linen damage fee without any notice of when and what it was. When I asked about the charge, they asked if we had any blood on the sheets and I replied No!! There was absolutely no blood. They contacted me two hours after checkout. In a email stating that it is a cleaning charge the staff noticed and noted it. They could have contacted me during our stay to show me but conveniently waited until check out. Conveniently suspicious I wonder how many people they do this to! 40 years of traveling have ever seen anything like this.
