Sanitation in rooms was poor
Cleaners need training as remnants of hair in shower from previous occupant was present and not cleaned even after request . The rooms were dusty and not cleaned well; towels were threadbare
I feel it is not the cleaners fault but the volume of work that they are given which reduces the standards as they are forced to skimp
Noise from events and lack of sound proofing made the stay worse
Request for a room change were dismissed by one of the receptionist
I sensed apathy in staff and lack of motivation in Reception
There were very good staff like Sachan in the breakfast lounge who worked tirelessly to help the guests and meet their food requests
The friendly man who cleaned reception and guided me via stairs on first day was always a joy to see
The management team helped with printing and luggage weighing
I stayed at another hotel nearby a few months previous and had a totally brilliant experience where staff could not do enough to accommodate guests and standard of cleanliness and food selection was so much more superior and the cost of room was similar
Overall this hotel is in a good location and in satisfactory condition but could improve significantly and benefit from its prime location by addressing the concerns of its guests to encourage them to rebook
The first impression needs to be stellar for guests to inspire immediate confidence and security with motivated and accommodating reception staff
