Mixed Experience at Windsor Hotel, Istanbul
Positive Aspects:
1. Cleanliness: The hotel maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout our stay, ensuring a comfortable environment.
2. Facilities: The facilities provided were satisfactory, contributing to a generally pleasant experience.
Negative Aspects:
1. Limited Vegetarian Options: As pure vegetarians, we faced a significant challenge with the scarce vegetarian food choices. The suggestion to rely on salads daily was not an ideal solution.
2. Closed Restaurant on Mondays: The hotel's restaurant being closed on Mondays was an unexpected inconvenience, and this information was not communicated beforehand.
3. Language Barrier: Communication proved to be challenging due to a limited understanding of English among the staff, making the overall experience more difficult.
4. Commercial Location: The hotel's location in an industrial/commercial area, distant from major tourist centers, might not be suitable for those seeking a more central location.
Conclusion:
While the Windsor Hotel in Istanbul offers cleanliness and decent facilities, the limited vegetarian options, unexpected closure of the restaurant on Mondays, language barriers, and a commercial location may affect the overall satisfaction, casting doubt on its claim as a 5-star establishment.
