When we first pulled up, our hearts sank. We didn't realize we had booked a room at a motel. We didn't think we'd be able to get a room somewhere else at the last second so we decided to stay despite our reservations. I am so glad we did! The Pinkham house, basically an apartment over the office, was very clean, roomy and had everything we needed and then some. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we knew where the best place to eat, shop and snowmobile. Dogs are not only welcome, they provide a place for them to do their business and the materials to pick up after them and dispose of it. There is no smoking in the rooms but plenty of covered smoking areas so you never have to walk far if you have the habit. The restaurant right next door has a little bit of everything and the food was excellent. There is a Walmart right up the road, a McDonalds, Dunkin, and lots of other restaurants as well. I'm so glad we didn't let our first impression stop us from staying, we had a great time and all the comforts of home while relaxing in between snowmobiling, ice castles and snow tubing!
