it was our first time in fort walton and it was a good experience i would say staff overall really great but hotel/resort bleh. our first room the door had gaps at the top and bottom i was going to just ignore it until it looked like someone tried to open our door it also looked a bit run down but we talked to the front desk and she was on it she was quick, empathetic and very nice maintenance told her they fixed it but indeed did not so she moved us to another room beach front this time and it was absolutely gorgeous felt a lot safer and the view was so pretty until…. i dropped my phone behind the bed and there was a rolled up used sanitary pad at the edge of the mattress and that completely disgusted me and turned me off. the staff was great but i can’t say that i would be sold on staying there again unfortunately.

Property is showing its age. Has been remodeled but overall its age is showing. Looks like an old Holiday Inn from years ago that has been remodeled. Overall, our stay was acceptable. Will look for newer property for next year.

Was not informed that the water would be shut off Friday morning February 16th, (check-out day) asked clerk at desk what was going on " oh, didn't you get a paper in room stating this" ? No, " oh, I'm sorry" . They were working on the balconies , ocean view higher price room of course when we inquired about this we were told their not working on that side of the building, not checkin day but started the very next morning. Communication was very poor.
