One of my bad experience at Holiday inn branches
Not sure if I really want to write a review as this has been one of the worse stays I have ever had in a holiday Inn Express. We had a window that wasn't closing when which we noticed when we entered the room as it was a bit chill. We called for assistance and they came to check only for staff to come and tape it. We were told the maintainance guy was off at 3pm so we had to wait the next day. Of course we were given extra small heaters to use which we kept on all nights. The next morning maintenance guy comes checks and tells us he is going to check and see if he has a bigger tape to come and tape it up properly as the previous guy the did a very small part. Unfortunately we never heard from him till we left the place 4 days later. Upon check-out we raised this with staff and this apparently wasn't aware of any issue with the room Also the window was very dirty. Whoever cleaned it wasn't either a good cleaner or just couldn't bother. This was alao shown to staff when they came to check the window and they apologised but no action was taken till we left. The bathroom was very tinny with small bathtub, and some rusty bits around metals in the bath. the only thing we loved was the location from town. Few minutes by bus and you are in town with a single ticket being £2 per person. Breakfast wasn't great so we only attended 1 day and didn't go the following days

Stayed here as I needed a convenient hotel to stay in for a few hours of sleep after a long day and a very early start. Checked in at around midnight, I was having issues with my payment card which seemed to annoy the man at the desk. Eventually arrived in my tiny room which was comfortable enough but had seen better days. Awoke at 4.30am to no hot water. Called reception - they took over 5 minutes to answer! I was told that they would try and fix the issue or move me into another room but this would take 30minutes, which I didn’t have time to wait for as I had to be at the airport to check in for a flight. I was forced to have a freezing cold shower - horrible!! Not what you want from a hotel stay at all!
