Staff - Lobby staff were hospitable, accommodating and efficient. Housekeeping staff less so -- during our 3-night stay, we went without a hand towel in the bathroom for two of those nights. Additionally, and despite requesting one or two additional bottles of water, no extra water was left in the room. Special kudos to Allison, the in-house art curator. She was sweet and enthusiastic about her job.
Building - Yes, I understand it's an old building. That said, the floor was significantly uneven/tilted in our room, which I never got used to during the visit. The mattress and the pillows were sub-par for the amount per night charged.
We stayed at The Vendue to celebrate my wife's 65th birthday. She was enthralled with its off-beat, artsy, avant-garde theme. It's unique, that's for sure. It's also in a great location. All in all, an enjoyable time.
