Great property, with a beautiful scenic beach. Rooms were spacious and cozy. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurants were delicious. Our fav was the habachi grill. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed in the "Dlx Ocean View Suite-1 King-2 Twin Murphy Bed" on the 6th floor-HIGHLY recommend. Space and storage were generous, especially the bathroom. The balcony was huge and accessible from both rooms. Even with all the activity outside, the doors insulated the noise very well. A few tips: -Make dinner reservations for the restaurants as soon as you arrive. Room service starts at 9:30am, but the buffet and cafe open early. -The cabanas start at $200 and having tried one one day, we didn't feel that there was a lot of value to the experience. The ordinary service is great and there are plenty of chairs and shady spots. -Don't bother 'reserving' chairs with your towels-that's not how it works folks... -The staff and service were terrific everywhere - shout out to Rita who works pool/swim up bar-wonderful! -Housekeeping was not automatic-if you want something daily, call or ask the concierge for it to ensure you get it. -The buffet was well-run and had a huge variety of food. The poolside bar had burgers, wood-fired pizza, self-service snacks like nachos & grilled meats/veggies-all tasty and quick. -Ask for top shelf booze by name. -The lobby coffee shop was great for a quick beverage, with gelato, cakes, fruit and custom crepes. We tried the asian, italian and mexican restaurants with no complaints and we are picky foodie types! -Plenty for kids to enjoy, and places for adults to be away from kids. We would absolutely return-well done Hilton!

I struggled with what to write for this review. The location of this property is beautiful, and the hotel itself is relatively updated and well-kept. That being said, we had a couple of bigger issues that struggled to make this more than a 3 star hotel. I’m severely allergic to nuts and sensitive to gluten (disclaimer- I acknowledge these are not very common allergies in Mexico and that the language barrier could have contributed to some of these issues), and I had a very difficult time finding things that I could eat an ANY of the restaurants at the resort. There were items listed as gluten free that blatantly had been breaded and fried, and I asked for recommendations for nut and gluten-free options at one of the restaurants and was recommended 2 dished with peanuts in them. The buffet definitely has a lot of cross-contamination when food allergies as well. I ended up eating rice for most meals because it was the only thing I could confirm was safe to eat. In addition to this, as a group of 20-something year old girls, we had multiple issues with male staff making sexual/inappropriate comments to us at meals, bars, etc. This made the experience extremely uncomfortable and left us feeling rather unsafe. Many of the other staff were lovely- most notably the spa staff (Veronica did an AMAZING deep tissue massage). The population of this resort is mostly older couples/groups and families with small children, so perhaps we simply were not the group they aimed to cater to.

Overall our trip was lovely. We had a beachfront suite with a plunge pool and it was spectacular. Clean modern and very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the toiletries smelled amazing. I wish you sold them in your gift shop! We enjoyed most of the restaurants for dinner except the steakhouse was a big disappointment. The food was not great and the atmosphere was not on par with the balance of the restaurants. We also had the opportunity to use the spa which was beautiful and relaxing. Two areas that the property needs improvement is breakfast and lunch options and the Enclave experience. There are few options for breakfast. One is the buffet which is very chaotic. Not enough stations to handle the volume and no descriptive signs on the dishes. You can order room service which was decent but took some time or pick up at the cafe but very limited selection. Lunch offered no sit down options. The buffet has the same issues as breakfast and the Seasalt restaurant was just a self service grill with subpar food options. Where were the tacos!!! The Enclave experience needs elevating. I have been to other resorts with similar experiences that offer more elevated services. I would have liked to see a dedicated concierge to help with dinner reservations, resort tour etc. This would be to the benefit of the resort as it’s an opportunity to encourage additional purchases from the guests. Check in was chaotic, the room was not available at 3pm, check in time. We had to go back several times to the check-in counter to check to see if our room was available other guests who checked in later than us got their rooms before us.
