Very noisy, hard to sleep due to guests coming and going late into the night and deliberating on the front veranda, right outside guest rooms, on what the door code was. Very broad mix of clientele.

Hi Greg, We regret you did not have a great nights sleep. We are not sure why you heard some noise. Most other guests that evening were families or couples just like yourself. We did not receive any other complaints about noise but will look into the matter further for you. Thank you again for your feedback.

Everything OK - But I would have appreciated a heater that actually worked in my room. It got down to 4 degrees C that night. Otherwise all ok

Nice hostel good location

Had a one night stay at Dolphin Retreat which was quite enjoyable. Staff were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Facilities were all clean and tidy as was our room. The bed was not the most comfortable but for one night was completely fine. The complimentary extras included in our stay were very generous although we didn't have time to take advantage of any!! Would stay again in the future.

Convenient to beach, city

Pros: Pleasant staff, secure parking, convenient to beach and city centre. Clean facilities, non-smoking.
Cons: Better organised for continental breakfast.
Location: Convenient short walking distance to beach, city centre, tourist attractions include Boulters Heights, Mariston Tower.
Stayed for one night. Staff very pleasant. Non smoking but guests can smoke in area at back of property away from accommodation area. Parking in secured area is a good feature. Good short walking distance to beach and city centre. Clean room, comfortable bed, clean showers, toilets. Games - e.g. billiards - available. Continental breakfast though could have been better organised - kitchen and fridges largely reserved for guests which is a good thing for self-caterers. Ideal for backpackers, single travellers but not aware of double beds, etc for couples. Less suited for families (with children on the journey)

backpackers Hostel

Pros: Great if you're backpacker but we are a family with young children and so it was not suitable at all
Cons: Make website visitors fully aware of the shared facilities and noise restraints which were impossible to meet with early rising young children
Location: This hostel is in the heart of Bunbury which is probably its best feature
Maybe we didn't pay enough attention to the website but we were under the impression that this was a hotel/motel not a backpackers hostel with shared facilities. Not suitable for families with young children.
