Not the best stay
The hotel looked really nice from the outside, but our room smelled really bad of smoke. Despite being a non smoking hotel, the carpet was just trashed. It was carpet that should have been replaced 10 years ago. There were stains and just dirt embedded in it and the smell. Carpets hold smells and it was awful!
The front desk girl was super friendly. She tried to make accommodation, move me to a two queen room, but I booked a suite. She said no suites available. I asked for some fabric refresher spray just to tame down the smell of the room. It was really bad. We tried to keep the door open to air out the room but it was the carpet so it didn't even matter if we "air" out the room.
I did not sleep well. The pillows were too thick. It was a rough night. Breakfast wasn't that great. I didn't have the eggs and sausage but my partner did and it did not look good. The coffee wasn't great. The waffle was fine. The last night we had breakfast at a diner because we didn't want the breakfast there.
The cable satellite was bad too. Constant lag due to "weather" despite it being sunny.
I was looking forward to the hot tub but it wasn't open.
The front desk was very sweet and helpful so that's a plus. She mentioned that I would get a discount but I haven't seen anything yet or received an email or call from the hotel.
Maybe after renovations, this place might be nicer, but my experience wasn't the best and we take about 4/5 trips a year and stayed at plenty of hotels.
