The hotel appeared nice from the outside. I checked in close to midnight and the hostess was not welcoming. I booked a double bed suite and was given a single bed room, without notice.
I went down to the desk to ask Amit the double bed and the hostess advised that a baseball team had arrived and that was the only room left available.
I went to take a shower in said room and the ceiling flooded with water onto the bathroom floor. I called down to the front desk without an answer. The water stopped after I turned the water off.
The purpose of us being in Baton Rouge was for my daughter to compete, so I didn’t go downstairs to change rooms.
The next morning before leaving the hotel, I spoke to the same host that was there when we checked in, I begin telling her that “water began”, she stopped me and said that she already knew and asked me for my room number. I replied, “You didn’t even let me finish, you are already aware of the issue”? She replied yes. I provided her my room number (Room 423), and she said “okay”.
I left and when I returned I spoke to another hostess. She nodded her head when I told her about the problems I’d faced with the hotel room. She was nodding and asked, almost in confirmation, what room?
I think they knew that nobody should be using the room, but gave it to me anyway. I will never again stay at a Hyatt Place.
One of the elevators was broken, the rugs were dirty in the hallways, the couch was dirty, and the service was terrible.
