Access and facilities

Pros: Central position
Cons: See above. If there was a/c we were not told about it.
Location: Central location close to canals, eating places, other Amsterdam attractions.
Getting to the room involved a lift to one level, a walk down a passageway then another lift to room level, not good with baggage in tow. Room had only one seat, a telephone table with adjoining seat. No other seat apart from the bed. While clean, shower/toilet had a stale smell - Draino down the waste pipes would probably work wonders. if there was air conditioning we did not find the controls. Bed was comfortable, staff exceedingly helpful, adjacent cafe for breakfast quite good. Room decor was eccentric!
