BRISBANE – 20 November 2012
The New South Wales South Coast has taken out the title of most popular coastal region in leading travel site Wotif.com’s first Battle of the Beaches.
The area, encompassing Jervis Bay, Batemans Bay, Wollongong and others, received more page visits on Wotif.com than each of its daily rivals in a week-long battle voted mostly by Aussies and Kiwis. Wotif.com Public Relations Manager Rhiannan Grant said the NSW South Coast had earned serious bragging rights after beating off some stiff competition.
“The NSW South Coast pipped heavyweights Thailand, the Sunshine Coast, Sydney and the Gold Coast on its way to the top spot,” Ms Grant said.
