BRISBANE – 14 September 2012
Barely a week into Brisbane Festival and the city has already noticed a welcomed tourism boost, according to accommodation website Wotif.com.
Wotif.com Executive General Manager, Joachim Holte, said bookings into the city were already up on last year with three weeks of the festival still remaining.
“While we’ve seen a strong increase in bookings within the CBD, the Greater Brisbane areas are also proving popular among festival goers,” Mr Holte said.
“Brisbane Festival is always a major tourism drawcard for the city and seems to be getting more popular every year.”
