Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa All Inclusive
The Point, Lucea
"We booked this resort through Expedia. We read the reviews and most were positive. There were a few negative remarks, but for the most part they ranked real well. We arrived after a red eye flight, bright and early. Although the hotel staff were unable to provide us with a room until later in the afternoon, they assured us our baggage would be safe, and gave us our wristbands, telling us to enjoy all the amenities the resort had to offer. We took advantage of that, and headed to the pool, where we relaxed until our room was ready. From day 1, we were made to feel welcome by all of the hotel staff. Everyone was very friendly and even the vendors trying to sell time shares, spas, and excursions weren't pushy. If you said no to their requests to purchase anything, they didn't harass you; they just let it be. The food was fabulous. We tried all of the specialty restaurants except the sea food one, and none were disappointing. Even the buffets were good eating. After eating breakfast, we would find our way to Sunset Cove beach. The water was very clear and the best part is the various corals that are in that area. We went snorkeling every day, and even had my wife go way out into the water to see some pretty spectacular corals. Use of all equipment, including paddle boards/boats, kayaks, snorkel gear is free. To learn to steer the catamaran is only $30, where it is usually $100+ at others. This is definitely a place with a big check mark to go back to!"
