Forget the climb, take a walk<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sure, the official Sydney Harbour Bridge climb is expensive. But it\u2019s totally free to stroll along the pedestrian path on the eastern side and the views are well worth it.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 10px;\"><strong>2. After-hours culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Head to the Art Gallery of NSW for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au\/art-after-hours\/\">Art After Hours.<\/a> From celebrity talks to workshops and behind-the-scenes tours, it&#8217;s free and amazing!<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 10px;\">3. Stop. Ferry time.<\/h3>\n<p>Forget the tourist boats. Do as the locals do and hop on a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. In the 30 minutes or so you\u2019re on the water, you can snap pics of all the harbourside attractions and chill out before you get off for some fish and chips. Pro tip: If you or someone you\u2019re travelling with has mobility issues, the Manly Surf Lifesaving Club has a beach wheelchair available for loan \u2013 at no cost \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 10px;\"><strong>4. A garden fit for royalty<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Be a joiner and take a free guided tour of the lush <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au\">Royal Botanic Garden<\/a>, right next to the Opera House. Mac down on some cheap eats<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Get your comfort food fix with an $8 three-cheese macaroni from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theurbanlist.com\/sydney\/directory\/soda-factory\">Soda Factory<\/a> in Surry Hills. For $10-20 you can check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/sydney\/theatre\/the-opera-centre\">The Opera Centre<\/a> \u2013 Opera Australia\u2019s rehearsal space and costume studio in Surry Hills. Luna Park<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yep, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunaparksydney.com\">Luna Park<\/a> can sting your wallet, but that\u2019s just the rides. Entry is free, so if you\u2019re up for some people-watching with a Harbour backdrop (and carnival atmosphere), pop in for a look-see.
