A lot of things can happen on a holiday, and you may find yourself saying \u201cYes\u201d to things you\u2019d never dream of in the Real World (hello, deep-fried tarantulas). But here are 18 things I bet Holiday You would never say.<\/p>\n

1. \u201cI think I\u2019ll just have one breakfast today.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Not when there\u2019s a delicious hotel brekky buffet with your name written all over it. Go on \u2013 get in there!<\/p>\n

2. \u201cDessert? No, thanks.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Personally, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever said these words \u2013 at home or away. But on holiday? No way!<\/p>\n

3. \u201cIt\u2019s too early for cocktails.\u201d
\n<\/strong>It\u2019s NEVER too early for cocktails. At least, not when you\u2019re on holiday. But back in the Real World, you should probably wait until at least the early PMs.<\/p>\n

From now on, I refuse to drink anything that isn\u2019t served in a coconut<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
<\/div>\n

4. \u201cAnother day of perfect weather and gorgeous beaches? Boooring.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Anyone who thinks holidays are boring is doing them wrong. The key is picking the right holiday for you \u2013 whether it\u2019s exploring the Red Centre<\/a>, unwinding in Port Douglas<\/a>, trekking through South America<\/a>, or switching off in Phuket<\/a>. \n<\/strong>If you can find me someone who genuinely enjoys being stuck in traffic for any<\/em><\/strong> reason, I will give you the full monetary contents of my wallet ($28.15 \u2013 a worthy bounty). One of the best things about being on holiday is not having to deal with them.<\/p>\n

But, please \u2013 prove me wrong. I\u2019m here. My wallet is waiting.<\/p>\n

10. \u201cI\u2019ve taken enough photos.\u201d
\n<\/strong>No, you haven\u2019t. Even after you\u2019ve filled five memory cards (including one that\u2019s nothing but breakfast pics). If you didn\u2019t take a photo, did it really happen?<\/p>\n

11. \u201cI should stop posting all these amazing holiday pics. They\u2019re probably making people jealous.\u201d
\n<\/strong>They probably are \u2013 but that\u2019s not going to stop you. And you\u2019ve got to do something with all those happy snaps. Go on\u2026 do some Insta-bragging.<\/p>\n

12. \u201cI wish I had some housework to do.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Housework and chores are banned when you\u2019re on holiday. I don\u2019t think anyone\u2019s complaining.<\/p>\n

13. \u201cThis Hawaiian shirt is too loud.\u201d
\n<\/strong>You\u2019re on holiday, where bad fashion choices reign supreme. Buy that sucker and wear it with pride.<\/p>\n

14. \u201cUgh! I\u2019m so sick of sleeping in and doing whatever I want.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Sounds terrible, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

15. \u201cThis scenic train ride is OK, I guess. But nothing beats peak hour on public transport.\u201d
\n<\/strong>Bonus fun points if it\u2019s raining (because human civilisation falls apart as soon as a little water falls from the sky). Who wouldn\u2019t miss that? *Sarcasm*<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>There\u2019s no getting bored of famous sites and postcard-perfect views. And there\u2019s no limit to how many photos you can take (and share) of them, either.<\/p>\n

17. \u201cI don\u2019t know. Does my niece\/next-door neighbor\/co-worker really need an \u2018I <\/strong>\u2764<\/strong> Cairns\u2019 pen\/snow globe\/T-shirt?\u201d<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s just something about being on holiday that makes us buy ridiculous things. And if we don\u2019t need them, we palm them off as \u201cgifts\u201d to our unsuspecting friends and fam. It\u2019s the thought that counts \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

18. \u201cI wish I was back at work.\u201d
